La Joya Condos

Muy lindo. Cumple con todo lo publicado, excelente servicio. Recomiendo rentar auto para movilizarse cómodamente. Tranquilo, silencioso, seguro. Se encargan de la limpieza diariamente, fue muy grato quedarme en este lugar, altamente recomendable.

Very nice and intimate complex. We are a family of four with two young children and unit #5 (2nd floor, 2 bed/2ba) suited us very well. We stayed in November and La Joya was only about 1/2 full. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Views from the unit are amazing and it's an easy walk to a couple close beachfront restaurants, yal-ku lagoon, and into town. Town is about a mile away so not a big deal to walk for adults, for the kids we used a taxi which was 200 pesos + tip each way. Office was happy to call us a taxi when we needed one. Saw 100's of fish snorkeling a few hundred feet out in the bay. All along half moon bay they take security very serious, which is great, but I never saw any reason for concern and we always felt safe. A couple things to be aware of. No TP in most toilets in Akumal. This was not a big deal and we got used to it quickly. The beach is sandy here with rocks. The beachfront in front of La Joya is probably the least rocky in all of half moon bay so our kids could play carefully in the surf, but they were unable to swim. Waters were rough during our stay so that could have been a factor too. Seaweed was low during our stay as well so we lucked out there. Kids loved swimming in the public beach in town but my wife who stayed on the beach got eaten alive by sand fleas, so prepare for that. We were told not to drink the water so we didn't, but bottled is available everywhere. All that being said, we loved our time in Akumal and at La Joya.

Wow. I'm still in awe of how much my Wife and I loved this accommodation. We stayed in unit #5 First off, the staff here is wonderful and helped make us feel right at home on our Honeymoon. They even went above and beyond decorating the condo with swan folded towels, ornate paper foldings, and flower pedals. They made us feel very special on our special vacation. The property is very well maintained. The pool is clean and perfect for cooling off, the lounge chairs are inviting and a great place to relax, the beach is combed every morning, and the rest of the grounds are clean and cared for. There is a large amount of sargasm (an aquatic plant) that washes up on the beach, but my wife and I did not view this as a problem. It brings a diverse amount of sea life into the bay, so we viewed it as worth it. The neighborhood and the bay itself is so quiet and peaceful. I can't remember the last time I slept this great. The condo itself is pristine. Well stocked with anything you might need. We made breakfast every morning without issue. The beds are comfortable, the linens clean, the a/c works great and cools off the whole unit quickly, which is nice because we don't like keeping the a/c on when we're not there. There was a water dispenser with fresh jugs of water, decanters filled with fresh water for brushing your teeth, plenty of clean towels as well as some large beach towels. The shower in the master bedroom... easily my favorite part. The shower head has pressure and puts out an impressive amount of water. There's a light linen curtain that covers an opening that overlooks the patio, so you can see Half Moon Bay while showering but still remain unseen by anyone outside of the condo. Very Peaceful. If it wasn't for our trying to be conscious of our water consumption, we would have lived in this shower. There is a soaking tub as well in the bathroom in the second bedroom. Another highlight is the balcony where we would enjoy evening cocktails, a table and chairs outside of the entrance where we enjoyed breakfast while watching the sunrise. A rooftop area that's perfect for seeing the bay during sunset. La Joya also boasts good WiFi, free parking, close proximity to Yal Ku Lagoon, La Lunita (an slightly upscale beach restaurant with great food), La Buena Vida (a fun beach bar with fantastic food), a 15 - 20 minute walk to Akumal Beach and Akumal Playa (the beach area of town), Great snorkeling in the bay (partly due to the sargasm). This was the perfect home base for our unforgettable Honeymoon. We're already making plans to come back with friends next year. Thank you everyone at La Joya

Suite 6 is fabulous. Very comfortable, great staff and pool. Highly recommend.

Gute Lage, ruhige Lage. Etwas älter aber gut gepflegt. Schöner Sandstrand, Im Wasser felsig/steinig und natürlich Seegras wie überall

Stayed here for the week. Absolutely fantastic view and the staff was amazing
